There’s something so special about photographing families in the heart of autumn… the golden light, the crunchy leaves, and those easy moments of laughter that seem to happen all on their own. This sweet family showed up ready to play, snuggle, and enjoy the moment, and y’all… they made this session an absolute dream.
We started the afternoon curled up on a blanket under the trees, capturing those gentle, connected moments between Mama and her boys — the kind of moments that feel soft and simple, but mean everything. From there, we explored the stone walls and rustic barns that give this location so much charm, letting the boys climb, lean in close, and flash those mischievous little smiles that every parent knows so well.
As the sun dipped lower, the energy shifted into full-on playtime. Leaves went flying, laughter echoed everywhere, and the boys gave me some of the happiest, brightest smiles I’ve seen all season. One of my favourite things about photographing little ones is how quickly their personalities shine through — the silliness, the sweetness, the belly laughs, and those tender glances toward Mum and Dad when they think no one’s watching.
This family was such a joy to work with, and their gallery feels like a snapshot of childhood exactly as it is: warm, messy, honest, joyful, and overflowing with love. Sessions like these are a reminder that the best photos often come from simply letting your family be yourselves — cuddles, giggles, leaf-throwing and all.
